Homeownership Resurgence Plan

From JohnMcCain.com - What did John mean about 300 Billion for the purchase of defaulted home loans in last nights debate?

“John McCain will direct his Treasury Secretary to implement an American Homeownership Resurgence Plan (McCain Resurgence Plan) to keep families in their homes, avoid foreclosures, save failing neighborhoods, stabilize the housing market and attack the roots of our financial crisis.  America’s families are bearing a heavy burden from falling housing prices, mortgage delinquencies, foreclosures, and a weak economy.  It is important that those families who have worked hard enough to finance homeownership not have that dream crushed under the weight of the wrong mortgage.  The existing debts are too large compared to the value of housing.  For those that cannot make payments, mortgages must be re-structured to put losses on the books and put homeowners in manageable mortgages. Lenders in these cases must recognize the loss that they’ve already suffered.

The McCain Resurgence Plan would purchase mortgages directly from homeowners and mortgage servicers, and replace them with manageable, fixed-rate mortgages that will keep families in their homes.  By purchasing the existing, failing mortgages the McCain resurgence plan will eliminate uncertainty over defaults, support the value of mortgage-backed derivatives and alleviate risks that are freezing financial markets.

The McCain resurgence plan would be available to mortgage holders that:
Live in the home (primary residence only)

Can prove their creditworthiness at the time of the original loan (no falsifications and provided a down payment).
The new mortgage would be an FHA-guaranteed fixed-rate mortgage at terms manageable for the homeowner. The direct cost of this plan would be roughly $300 billion because the purchase of mortgages would relieve homeowners of “negative equity” in some homes.  Funds provided by Congress in recent financial market stabilization bill can be used for this purpose; indeed by stabilizing mortgages it will likely be possible to avoid some purposes previously assumed needed in that bill.

The plan could be implemented quickly as a result of the authorities provided in the stabilization bill, the recent housing bill, and the U.S. government’s conservatorship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  It may be necessary for Congress to raise the overall borrowing limit.”

Now that is an idea that could work!

Our next CEO

I’ve been reflecting on the election. OK, I’ve been obsessing over it. What if I told you the next CEO of PAontheweb LLC was going to be one of our interns? Not 20 years from now. What if I told you he was taking over right now? We’ve bypassed a 48 year old person with tons more experience and maturity who knows our systems inside and out. We’ve passed over a 30 year old who has a good grip on the way the company works but no ability to handle the billing, server security, payroll and all the other intricacies. We’re bringing on a guy with no experience running a company who doesn’t know SEO from SEM.

Yes, he is only 20 years old but he’s been playing with computers since he was 7 years old. He also has a great personality. He can talk to just about anyone on their level and make them understand what he’s saying (even if it wouldn’t work in reality). No, he’s never done the billing. He doesn’t have a clue about server security. No, he doesn’t understand how to set up a hosting platform using the WHM let alone what a WHM is. But… we’ve decided he’s the right man for the job!

OK, this is all hypothetical rhetoric. It is not going to happen to PAontheweb. Your websites will still run. Your service will still be what you expect. Your billing will not change and the company will continue to grow and prosper through difficult times.

BUT, that is EXACTLY what America intends to do by electing a novice.

Campaign Contributions From Fannie Mae & Freddy Mac for Senator Barack Obama-Truth!

You may have seen the rumors that Obama is linked to the recent financial crisis because he is one of the top recipients of money from the now defunct Freddie Mac and Fannie May. According to Truth or Fiction dot com, a non-partisan website, this story is True. See this link http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/o/obama-contributions-2.htm

The story was broken by John Gibson of FOX News We know there are a good number of FOX News haters out there but it is nevertheless true. The three top recipents were all Democrats and Senator Obama was number 2 on the list. To be fair there were many Republicans that received money. What is staggering is the fact that Obama received the second highest amount and has been in Washington as a Senator for such a very short period of time.

Coal Mining can come back in Pennsylvania. It's up to us.

Coal is a subject near and dear to the depressed regions of Pennsylvania. Here in PA we call it the Coal Regions and we have friends that live there. The question facing us as a state is do we want our depressed regions to start prospering again? I know there are Pennsylvanian’s in both parties and they are my friends as well. I do want to encourage you to vote for McCain Palin to help grow Pennsylvania’s economy. Please see the video above without getting angry if you are inclined to vote for Obama Biden.

McCain ahead of the curve on Mortgage Meltdown

No doubt McCain was someone who warned of the issues surrounding our current financial crisis.

Referenced from http://www.govtrack.us/congress/record.xpd?id=109-s20060525-16&bill=s109-190
“Sen. John McCain [R-AZ]: Mr. President, this week Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.

The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.

For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac--known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs--and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.

I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.”

RNC Joe Lieberman

I want to first confess that my best friend is like Joe Lieberman. My best friend is a Democrat! Hard to believe but very true. I therefore have no doubt that Joe and John McCain are the very best of friends. Joe Lieberman really got my respect as a politician and human being during this speech. I know this act of his has angered many people that have strong emotions about the election. However, he is correct on many points. For example, when someone needs our assistance we never stop to ask if that person is a Democrat or Republican you simply go to their aid. For all the anger and rhetoric we do need to remember we are one nation. When November has come and gone we will no longer be wondering if our friends, neighbors and co-workers are Democrat or Republican. This election is too important to let political parties get in the way. Joe is correct that these times are too perilous to elect a man just because he is a good speaker, young and charismatic. These are times that call for John McCain because he has proved he will work with Democrats. That is the one thing that angered Republicans and even me at times. However, John was trying his best to do the right thing for the country, to break gridlock and get something done.

John McCain's VP Pick

We received the following via email from the McCain camp. We would like to add our congratulations to Barak Obama’s historic breakthrough as the first Black Presidential candidate and our congratulations to Sarah Palin the first Republican VP pick! America has made history and we’re extremely proud of our parties nominees. While we encourage support for John McCain we understand the historic significance of this 2008 election year!

Begin Quoted email

My Friends,
I am honored to announce that I have chosen Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as my choice for the Republican nominee for Vice President. As a father with three daughters, I can’t express how proud I am to choose the first female Republican Vice-Presidential nominee.
Sarah Palin is a trailblazer and a reformer. As the first female governor of Alaska, she challenged a corrupt system and has been a tireless advocate for reform - passing a landmark bill on ethics reform. She has taken on the old politics in Alaska and reformed the state’s energy industry. She rejects wasteful pork barrel spending. She’s fearless - exactly the type of leader I want at my side and the type of leadership we will bring to Washington.
My friends, together Sarah Palin and I make the strongest presidential ticket and I know that she joins me in asking for your support as we head into our Convention week in Minnesota. We’re shaking things up in this campaign - and Governor Palin and I are ready to bring real reform to Washington.
The polls indicate this will be a tight race as we head into the fall campaign against Senators Obama and Biden. I expect the polls to remain close all the way up to Election Day and that is why any help you can give today will go a long way to make history on November 4th.
You may already know that I have decided to accept federal matching funds for the final months of this campaign- keeping a campaign promise I made. But that means that August 31st marks the last day I can accept your primary contribution. Will you make an immediate donation of whatever you can give- whether it’s $50 or $500 to ensure Governor Palin and I win in November?
You can be assured that as President and Vice President, Governor Palin and I will always put country before all else. We are ready to lead and I ask that you join our campaign today. Your support is deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

John McCain
P.S. I have chosen Governor Sarah Palin as my running mate and today we will hold a joint campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio. Please tune in to any of the cable news stations to watch this rally at noon eastern time. After watching the rally, I hope you’ll visit my website to financially support our ticket as we head into next week’s Republican Convention. Thank you.

John McCain

I’ve been asked why I support John McCain. To me the answers are simple. In our company we use a decision making matrix. If you do a matrix on John McCain versus Obama you will be as easily convinced as us.

Simply rate the following between 1 and 5. 5 is best, 1 is worst. This removes any bias one might have over issues not related to a good leader like race, religion sex etc. I would have supported Condoleezza Rice if she were running proving I’m neither a sexist or racist.

We first ran a decision matrix on the issues. They ranked in the following order. 1. Domestic Energy Policy. This comes before the others because it drives so many of the other categories like the economy number 2, national security number 3 and foreign policy number 4.

1. Domestic Energy Policy
McCain 4
Obama 2
McCain initially reserved ANWR as off limits we give him a 4. It was an idiotic position to take. If you’re going to drill off shore why not in ANWR. This lowered him from a 5 to a 4 for being illogical.
Obama did state that inflating tire pressure would save as much oil as we would get by drilling in the US. While his plan is more involved than that he does not look favorably on Coal, which we have more of than any other resource, Nuclear plants which several European countries have generating a large portion of their energy usage and drilling.
Both candidates are for exploring new energy options.

2. The Economy
McCain 3
Obama 1
McCain admits to his shortcomings on the economy so we give him a 3 for being honest about it. We know he’ll surround himself with good advisers since he knows he lacks experience here. On the plus side McCain did command a Navy unit.
Obama has no real experience and does not admit to it. We give him a 1 for not being up front about his lack of experience. Being blind to his own lack of experience may cost America big time economic trouble.

3. National Security
McCain 5
Obama 2
McCain was correct about the surge. Against huge opposition McCain stepped forward and went against the tide. His years of military service are a great benefit to his understanding of national security.
Obama has no experience. We would have given him another point if he would have admitted the surge worked in Iraq. His denial of the truth staring him in the face caused us to be extremely concerned. We are seeing a pattern of denial.

4. Foreign Policy
McCain 4
Obama 2
McCain knows during a run for the President of the United States it is not the time to be traveling abroad. He also is well known around the world and is viewed as a moderate in foreign relations.
Obama set himself on the world stage before receiving the vote from the American people for the American Presidency. This was an armature move. Not to mention the mistakes he made early on in his bid for the Democratic Nomination over meeting with foreign dictators without pre-conditions.

That is about it. Even if you disagree with our rating system rate the candidates yourself. Try to be as unbiased as you can and see if logic doesn’t outweigh your emotional enthusiasm. Charisma and other factors are important but not nearly as important as the 4 policies we’ve measured against above. If Obama wins we do not believe it spells the end of the United States. We survived Jimmy Carter, we can probably survive Obama and the do nothing Congress that is now in charge.

Seems like some prominent Democrats agree

Search Engine Optimization

Here is an excerpt from Google:
“Ranking in Google search is based on many different algorithms, and optimization for search is a long, continuous process. For these reasons, and because the techniques might violate our guidelines, we recommend avoiding any techniques that claim to optimize your ranking very quickly or radically. If you have concerns or questions, you can consult other webmasters on a number of forums, including Google’s official forum for webmaster-related issues.”

We highlight “long, continuous process.” PAontheweb provides free listings (link backs) for sites we believe our visitors will want to see by category and location. This is part of our great success. At the same time we will provide higher ranking for your listing if you link back to us. The link back must be from a page that Google indexes. See how to know if Google has indexed your page by clicking our blog article here.

PAontheweb also provides a hand full of the websites listed on our directory. If you are looking for a company that will give you straight talk on SEO (search engine optimization, getting found on the web naturally) contact us and we’ll talk to you about it. If you need to be found for a certain search term by location we can probably help. If you are a business in a town in PA or any other state we will be up front about how long it may take and how much it will cost. We only SEO sites hosted by us. We only SEO sites we think we can get to the first page or two of Google. We never make promises. If we host and develop your website you will owe nothing until we get you there. Nobody we know of in the industry will work with you like that.

How to place Google Adsense

Google Adsense tips for your website:

1. Place Google Adsense near the top and left of your site as well as bottom center.
2. Color co-ordinate your Adsense so it blends nicely with your website.
3. When you can use blue as your website default hyperlink color and the same for Adsense. People are still familiar with the color blue being a link and are more likely to notice the links.
4. Use the Channels Google provides as this is the only way to know for sure what placement performs the best.
5. Pretty websites are nice but text is king. Most people are looking for information, not nice pictures. Make you site rich in text and easy to read. Match your text size to Google Adsense. After all, Google wants people to be able to read their ads and that is a good font size for your website.
